January 2003 - A star is born

One of our member's dogs Tess, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier became a star in the production of Oliver at Northampton's Derngate Theatre.

News update

Tess made her second appearance at the McKinley theatre in Kettering, in October 2005. We hope she doesn't get typecast.

October 2006 - Maxicare donation

NDTC presented a cheque for £500 to Animals in Need - Maxicare a local dog rescue re-homing charity. The money was raised from the Companion Dog show we organised on their behalf in June and other fund raising events over the previous 12 months.

1st March 2009 - The end of an era

Sadly our president Ken Dolman, passed away on Sunday 1st March. Ken was a founder member of Northants Dog Training Club and was widely known by many in the obedience dog training community both as a competitor and judge, he was proud to have judged at Crufts in 1988. Ken was elected as president to the club along with his wife Jean in 1999. Ken could always offer advice and had a story to tell he will be missed by all at NDTC and at the local dog shows.

I was sorry to read that Ken has passed away. Could you please send my condolences to Jean. Hayley

It is with great sadness that we learn of Ken's death last week. Apart from being a personal friend, he was also a major supporter of our Charity. We send our sympathies to Jean and all at NDTC at this time. Our Dog Shows will not be the same without our "Dogfather". May he rest in peace. Wellingborough Dog Welfare
